Tricolor meaning

• The top band is of Saffron colour, symbolizes the strength, courage and sacrifice of the country.
• The White middle band symbolizes purity, peace and truth with Dharma Chakra.
• The last band is Green colour shows the fertility, growth, prosperity and auspiciousness of the land.
• The Dharma Chakra depicted the "Wheel of Law" in the Sarnath Lion Capital made by the 3rd-century BC Mauryan Emperor Ashoka. The Ashoka Chakra in Navy Blue represents progress, perpetuity and righteousness and the 24 spokes of the wheel represent 24 hours of the day, 24 qualities /responsibilities of human and represents the unity and diversity of the nation.

The National Flag of India was adopted in its present form during the meeting of Constituent Assembly held on the 22 July 1947, a few days before India's independence from the British on 15 August, 1947.

How its made and history of center establishment

• These Tricolour Flag are handspun and handcrafted & serves for all Indian official celebrations.
• The Karnataka Khadi Gramodyog Samyukta Sangha (KKGSS) (Federation) Flags unit is India's first BIS(Bureau of Indian Standards)-recognised national flag manufacturing unit. It follows 100% BIS rules and regulations and is the official Flag center and supplies for Indian Government.
  
• The hand-woven khadi for the National Flag was initially manufactured at Garag in 1954, a small village near Bengeri in the Dharwad district by freedom fighters and obtained the centre's license to make flags. The First licensed center.

Note 1:  This flag is designed to hoist/furl using a flagpole with a rope. Refer video section for your guidance for preparing flag for hoisting/furling.

Note 2: Handspun and Handwoven comes with natural knots and creases, which is a part of Khadi and is accepted by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
